A Coke for a Smile

Overview

It started with a simple request: “I want to fill up a bottlle of coke when I smile.”

Integritas leapt at the opportunity to solve this unique development challenge and in collaboration with EyeQ Insights, created the “Smile for a Coke” Interactive consumer experience.

The stand-alone in-store promotion kiosk invited consumers to engage with the Coca-Cola brand by standing in front of a camera and smiling. The facial recognition software integrated into the kiosk recognized when a consumer smiled and filled up an interactive bottle of Coke. When the bottled filled, the consumer was then presented with a text-to redeem coupon code for a free Coke.

The kiosk was unveiled at Austin’s 2016 SXSW interactive Festival and garnered positive feedback from media and attendees. The technology behind the promotion is based on a facial recognition technology that can detect features and characteristics about the consumer at the point of engagement.
